Through Space and Time
At Heather Park School, staff and students came together to create an awe-inspiring art installation that fuses Indigenous knowledge, environmental connection, science, and spirit. With 13 beams representing moon phases, a glowing heartbeat drum, DNA patterns, the Fraser and Nechako Rivers, eagle feathers, salmon migration, sunsets, fireflies, and galaxies, each piece tells a story of identity, place, and purpose. Lit by UV highlighters and carrying thousands of student and staff signatures, the piece invites everyone to see the world in a new light. The centrepiece? A figure rowing through space, reminding us: we are all heroes on a journey through space and time.
